Nintendo Tells Its Fans To Get Ready For E3

June 7, 2013 by Matt Hawkins

Why go to LA when we have the miracle that is the internet?

By subscribing to their YouTube channel, if you haven't done so already.

The year's biggest event for the video game industry, E3, is just a few days away. And Nintendo, one of the biggest names in all of video games, is getting ready.

Though, as previously noted, Nintendo is not doing the usual big and bombastic pre-E3 presser that has become a staple over the years. Unfortunately.

Instead, they're doing their thing online. And Reggie is here to give everyone a heads up, and to make sure everyone has their facts straight:

So here's the basic schedule: there will be a Nintendo Direct this upcoming June 11th at 11AM EST, 7AM PST. Expect plenty of big announcements, plus first looks at stuff we've known long about, including the next Super Smash Bros.

Plus there will be trailers, gameplay footage, and interviews with developers galore. Those who watched the livestream last year might recall that Nintendo’s presentation was filled with plenty of hyperbole and not much else.

And then, those who kept their browser windows opened, were surprised to discovered a slew of unadvertised content. Including in-depths look at the games and chats with those involved behind the scene. Many felt it was foolish for Nintendo to not put all that front and center, let alone not tell anyone.

The festivities will happen primarily on YouTube, hence why everyone should hit the subscribe button, but to also follow them on other social media hubs, like Twitter and Facebook. Because, you know, internet.

Though there’s more, as Destructoid points out: you also have a Pokemon-themed round table later that night, plus Nintendo’s E3 offering will actually be available at select Best Buys across the country. Sounds like there really is no reason to be there at E3!
