Square Enix has confirmed details about the third beta phase for its upcoming reboot for Final Fantasy XIV, titled “A Realm Reborn.” The beta testing is set to commence on June 14 and last for a few weeks. You can sign up for the beta test here.
The third phase of the beta test will introduce PlayStation 3 users and offer cross-platform support for the game for the first time ever. It will also open the doors of new city states Ul’dah and Limsa Lominsa.
The re-launch of FInal Fantasy XIV is designed to make up for its poor launch in 2010. Essentially, the “A Realm Reborn” update brings the game up to version two-point-oh and is designed to address much of the problems of the original game.
The released version of the game will retain its subscription rates of $10.99 a month when it launches on August 27.
