Infinite Crisis Joining the MLG Pro Circuit

May 30, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Warner Bros. Interactive and MLG announce their eSports partnership.

The competitive eSports MOBA scene continues to grow as Infinite Crisis will join the MLG Pro Circuit. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developers Turbine will partner with MLG (Major League Gaming) to join games like StarCraft 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, PlanetSide 2 and MOBA competitor, League of Legends.

The partnership will see that Turbine will include competitive settings and even showcase Infinite Crisis at future eSports and gaming events.

So to start showcasing the game at events, why not start at E3. Starting on June 11th through the 13th, teams Complexity and Curse Academy will put DC superheroes head to head in an Infinite Crisis match.

Turbine developed a number of other free-to-play games such as Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons and Dragons Online.

With the eSports scene growing considerably faster with the explosion of the MOBA genre, a number of other companies also announced their own MOBA projects. Warner Bros. Interactive will develop Infinite Crisis using the notable superheroes and villains of the DC Comic Multiverse. EA announced Dawngate, a game that can't refer to DC characters, so they will instead look to the RTS roots of the MOBA genre to build their game upon.

You can sign up for the Infinite Crisis beta on the official website.
