The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons out now on 3DS eShop

May 30, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Purchase the two Capcom developed Zelda titles before the prices increase.

Developed by Capcom for the Game Boy Color, you can pick up The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons for $4.99 each.

Both games, similar to the dual release of Pokémon titles, provide similar game experiences built on the same engine. While the Pokémon series will usually separate a few Pokémon to remain exclusive in each version, Oracle of Seasons focuses more on sword swinging combat while Oracle of Ages strains your brain with puzzles.

To further increase incentive to purchase both Zelda titles, once you complete either game, a password linking both versions of the game allows for plot changes, different endings and even item trading. If you too missed out on these Capcom developed Zelda titles, you can finally see for yourself why Oracle of Seasons/Ages still receive so much praise.

Originally Capcom proposed to remake the original Legend of Zelda. Nintendo quickly declined their offer. Not pleased with the response, Capcom then retaliated and threatened Nintendo to create a Zelda like game with different characters. Creator of the Zelda series, Miyamoto, then responded by letting Capcom develop the two Game Boy Color releases.

If you plan to purchase both Zelda games, head to the 3DS eShop now before the price of each increases to $5.99 on June 20th.
