Call of Duty: Ghosts Pre-Order Bonuses Include Black Ops 2 Camos

May 30, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Pre-order bonuses for Call of Duty: Ghosts include goodies for Black Ops 2

Call of Duty: Ghosts

GameStop has put out a new trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts, urging would-be players to pre-order it ahead of its release on November 5. Those who purchase the game from GameStop in the US or from GAME in the UK will be sent a code for a Ghosts weapon camo to use in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

In addition to the pre-order reveal, Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin has been talking up a storm about the game's "upgraded engine" which has showcased on the Xbox One. According to the developer, the innovations will also be available to the current-gen Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.

In a video interview with IGN, Rubin said, “The new engine actually also applies to current-gen. We didn’t mention that, but I do want to say that the new engine does affect current-gen.

“We do get a lot of benefit from this new engine on current-gen; lots of improvements to visual fidelity, but on next-gen we’ve got to bring in this new tech – a lot of it geared to stuff we’ve been seeing already in pre-rendered CG.”

In the same interview, Rubin said that the game's single-player campaign will allow players to 'customize' their experience by doing things that create sub-missions and different twists on the story throughout the levels they go through.

The game has been confirmed for release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It's also in development for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, although release details remain sketchy at the moment. The Xbox One version of the game will come with support for the Kinect.
