Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Game of the Year Edition Listed

May 29, 2013 by Josiah Renaudin

It looks as if more Call of Duty is on the way.

We could always use just a bit more Call of Duty in our lives, right? Well, that’s what major publisher Activison seems to think. Call of Duty: Ghosts, which is being touted as the first next-generation Call of Duty game (and the one with the best dog-based technology on the market), will be making its way to both current-gen hardware and the two newest machines later this year. However, don’t think that’ll be the only chance we’ll have to build up killstreaks and sick rapid dogs on unsuspecting online players. A retail listing for the Game of the Year Edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has been discovered, and not long after, pulled.

This comes from PlayStation Lifestyle, who noticed that the product listing first cropped up last month with a May 21 release date. Following that, it was updated this week with today's date as launch day. Before being pulled entirely, an image of the box was snapped for your viewing pleasure.

This final edition of Black Ops 2 will supposedly include the $15 Revolution Map Pack, but no mention of any other DLC can be seen on the box. The Uprising content is now out on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, so it’s peculiar that only one of the planned packs is slapped right on the cover art. The product itself was listed for $60, which is strange knowing that, when purchased separately, the DLC and 2012 produce can be picked up for a cheaper price.
