Alongside Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Watch Dogs, Ubisoft plans to release at least 6 of its games for the Xbox One in the first year of Microsoft's new console.
Earlier today during the Microsoft Xbox One reveal, Don Mattrick mentioned that the Xbox One will see 15 exclusive titles within the first year of its launch. Ubisoft previously developed exclusive games like Splinter Cell for Microsoft consoles before, so their partnership on an exclusive title seems likely.
Of the 6 games coming to the Xbox One platform, you can include Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Watch Dogs. Other unconfirmed but potential games include Rayman Legends,Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist and a resurgence of Rainbow Six Patriots. That leaves at least 1 title still unannounced.
Excited to the potential the new hardware next generation consoles provide, co-founder of Ubisoft – Yves Guillemot – feels that the new consoles will "reinvigorate our industry and make it possible for us [Ubisoft] to deliver incredible new entertainment to gamers."
The titles Ubisoft aims to deliver will consist of already existing franchises, new IPs and digital titles for the Xbox One. For more specifics on what exactly these 6 games will involve, Ubisoft plans to unveil more information during the Ubisoft press conference at E3.
