Microsoft Reveals its Next-Gen Console as Xbox One

May 21, 2013 by Josiah Renaudin

The name for the new Xbox is finally known.

Almost every name under the sun has been guessed for the next-generation Xbox. We’ve heard Durango, Xbox 720, and just simply “Xbox” in order to solve some of the confusion. However, today’s Microsoft event has finally revealed the true name of the next-generation machine, which has been dubbed the “Xbox One.”

What does the name mean? This is a single, inclusive entertainment device that’s meant to make your living room faster, easier, and more complete. It’s designed to help bring the family together in one spot in order allow everyone to enjoy movies, video games, music, and every other piece of entertainment that comes to mind. There’s a new controller, new look for the console, and a whole new Kinect device in order to bring you even closer to your experiences. Oh, it also has live TV right in the box, too.

Microsoft is promising a faster, easier, and more streamlined experience with Xbox One, which finally has a name that we can all get behind.
