This Is What Michelangelo Looks Like In TMNT: Out of the Shadows

April 24, 2013 by Matt Hawkins

And he looks kinda freaky, IMHO.

Even the most ardent old school Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan has more than likely lost track of what the franchise is like these days. And it has been the subject of countless reboots and iterations since it's early 90s incarnation.

For those who haven't been keeping track, the licenses is in the hands of Nickelodeon, and the latest game is being published by Activision, with Red Fly Studio developing.

The full title of the game is called TMNT: Out of the Shadows, and here we have an up close and personal look at arguably the most popular of the Turtles, Michelangelo:

One's impressions of the turtle that has an affinity for both nunchucks and pizza will largely vary, and be dependent upon a number of factors. Speaking purely for myself, I find him kind of freaky looking.

Not that the Turtles from back in the day were all that normal looking to being with. At the very least, he looks far more turtle-like than his predecessors.

Though a far greater concern, even to those who like the way he looks (which is totally cool by the way, and besides, I'm a 36 year old male and perhaps not this game's primary demographic) is the speed. Or lack thereof.

Everything seems to move rather slow and prodding. Hopefully the action was slowed down, to highlight the admittedly varied arsenal set, at least compared to Mike's moves in Turtles in Time, as neat and serviceable as they were.

TMNT: Out of the Shadows arrives later this summer on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and Steam.
