State of Decay 2 Collector’s Edition Announced

March 13, 2018 by Jordan Coetsee

It includes a pretty terrifying Zombie mask.

The collector’s edition for the Xbox One exclusive, State of Decay 2 has just been revealed.

While the standard version of the game only includes the base title and will be running for $29.99, zombie obsessed players can pick up the collectors edition for $69.99, of which includes   a steelbook case, a stand for it in the shape of a human brain, a USB drive looking like a severed thumb and a wearable zombie mask that looks surprisingly scary.

The collector’s edition does not include the game, however. Why this is done is usually because those who pick up the collector’s editions of games want the flexibility to purchase the title as either a physical copy or digital (previous games that have done something similar to this include Battlefield 1, Resident Evil 7 and Mass Effect Andromeda).

The ultimate zombie survival game • Build your community and invite up to three friends** to explore an open-world world filled with hostile zombies • Establish a base, develop your characters and manage resources to survive in a post-apocalyptic world • In the apocalypse, every decision matters and brings with it lasting consequences. • How you survive just might surprise you. • Available on Xbox One and Windows 10. • Xbox One X Enhanced and supports Xbox Play Anywhere.

State of Decay 2 is the follow up to 2013’s State of Decay. This year’s iteration includes 4-player co-op, beefed up graphics and a completely new world to explore. State of Decay 2 will be available exclusively on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs (presumably only via the Windows Store) on May 22nd.
