Despite being as old as the hills, some of the game series that won the hearts and minds of gamers of young gamers way back in the day are still around today in all new incarnations that leverage the latest graphics technology, AI, and controls. 

In this series, we take a look at some of the most iconic games of yesteryear and compare them to what they look like in their latest versions today. 

There's everything from horror games and action to sports—because what would gaming be like without soccer games to tide us over, right?
