In today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo provided further details about Mario Golf World Tour, which was announced in the Nintendo Direct broadcast in February. The clips reveal a familiarly colourful style, with multiple playable characters, but the focus of the broadcast is on the multiplayer component.
If you connect your 3DS console to the internet, you'll be able to play Mario Golf World Tour against people from across the world in real-time, which not enough 3DS games offer. You can also upload your scores, but the most interesting feature is the ability to create games with whatever conditions you choose. We're given the examples of games with a certain time limit, or ones in which you can only play as one character (in this case – in keeping with the theme of the broadcast – Luigi).
