PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Banned Over A Million Cheaters Last Month

February 6, 2018 by Jordan Coetsee

BattlEye worked extra hard last month.

With the influx of new players that 2018 brought in, PUBG’s anti-cheat measures have been working extra hard to ban unethical players over the course of January. BattlEye, PUBG Corp’s response to the cheating epidemic banned a staggering 1,044,000 players last month. This was announced via its Twitter channel.

We have banned over 1,044,000 PUBG cheaters in January alone, unfortunately things continue to escalate.

While yes, the number does appear pretty large, in comparison to the number of people actually playing the battle royale title it’s not as big as you would’ve thought. And if you head on over to the steam player count ticker, you would see that this ban actually didn’t put a dent in the player count whatsoever.

In other PUBG news, a new test server is out now for the shooter, to read more about what to expect from it, check out our article, here.

‘The latest update just launched today, introducing some tweaks to the latest desert map and adding a new anti-cheating measure. The latest map, Dubbed Miramar has been out for a little while now providing players with a considerably different experience to what they had with the lush world of the previous map. While it’s reception has been positive, it has been met with some issues.’

PUBG is out now for PC and Xbox One.
