Intel’s Sandy Bridges E-Series Delayed.

February 12, 2011 by Eric Swain

Intel’s Sandy Bridges E-Series coming soon.

Intel's upcoming Sandy Bridge E-Series processors have been delayed by a whole quarter. We all were wishing that just maybe we would get these processors earlier this year however we're now looking at Q4 2011 for the release. The processor was hoping to increase the speed with faster chips first over the summer before sending out the higher performance machines this Winter, however, this is no longer the case.

We do know that the E-Series will have four or six cores that will be paired with Intel X68 core logic set. The 6-core processors will offer external base frequency generators but will maintain clock-speeds of USB, SATA and other buses locked. Now you will have the ability to boost clock speed of the CPU when increasing Direct Media Interface frequencies. I really don't know about you but i am excited for these processors to ship in.
