Sick of playing as all the other Borderlands 2 characters? Feel like a change? Good news, you don’t have to play as them ever again, because Gearbox have made another one for you to play as and have kind of shown it off in this trailer. “Kind of” in this case means that there’s brief glimpses and suggestions of personality and background, but no dialogue or a name.
That’s basically a lesson in creating a “teaser” that people could learn a lot from. That’s about as teased as you can make an audience in under a minute.
The new trailer offers little more than a glimpse at the silhouette, but from the interactions it seems like he(?) will have a high melee focus and presumably has a robotic arm. That’s pretty cool.
This character is the result of an experiment taking place within a research facility on the planet of Pandora. The trailer shows this new Vault Hunter escaping from the facility with no sense of remorse in dispatching whomever’s around.
PAX will showcase this character in some form. The trailer suggests that attendees head to the Main Theatre at 12:30 to find out more. No word on if the character will be playable at the event or just revealed.
No word on pricing. No more words at all actually. Nicely, though, Gearbox left a message at the end of this video informing the audience that they’re hiring at the moment and that maybe you should come be a part of the team. If you want. We can’t confirm whether or not that is a good idea.
