Black Ops 2 New Camos Revealed, Available as Microtransactions

March 13, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

The new personalization microtransaction skins for Black Ops 2 have been revealed.

A host of new camos are being added into Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 as a part of the game's newly announced microtransaction system, which we previously detailed in this post.

In case you don't care to click on our previous report, the gist of it is that Activision and Treyarch plan to add what they're referring to as "micro items" rather than microtransactions. None of these purchases will be game-changing in any way, in that they won't alter the way you play the game or provide you with an edge, but they will allow you to "enhance your online experience" by giving you more ways to personalize your playstyle beyond your emblem.

The first—or rather, first eight—of these customizations have been revealed as a part of the game's new personalization packs, which include skins, calling cards and targeting reticules.

Eight of them have been revealed so far. These include the following skins for all of your weapons with the following themes:

  • Jungle Warfare
  • Benjamins
  • Dia de Muertos
  • Graffiti
  • Kawaii
  • Party Rock
  • Zombies
  • Viper
  • Bacon

As you can imagine, covering your gun in dollar bills or bacon seems like a great way to piss off your opponents. We'll expect to see players running around with these as soon as they become available.
