QuakeCon 2013 Dates Officially Announced

February 26, 2013 by Holly Green

Gamers are headed back to Texas for this year’s event.

The dates for the upcoming QuakeCon 2013 have been officially announced, and this year, participants are headed back to Texas at the beginning of August. Hosted by Bethesda and id Software with free admission to the open public, the event will not only be home to the biggest LAN party on the face of the earth, there'll also be activities for those who can't BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer), as Bethesda promises to show some of their games to the public for the first time. "Leading technology companies" will also be on hand to show off their latest hardware and software products.

Named for the Quake series, the gathering of gamers is now in its 18th consecutive year. The convention dates are from August 1-4, 2013, and will take place at The Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Special rates will apply so when booking your room be sure to mention the event!
