Arkedo Studios, Makers of Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit, Shuts Down

February 23, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Hell freakin’ naw.

Hell Yeah!

The makers of Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit and the newly released iOS title Hell Yeah! Pocket Inferno have announced that it will be closing its doors.

According to GameInformer, which broke the news in a rather distastefully titled article ("Hell Yeah! Developer Arkedo Studios Disbands"), Arkedo Studios ran out of funds and decided to close shop instead of putting its developers through any further misery.

"It has been decided to disband the team when there still was enough money to get good conditions for everyone, rather than replace permanent positions with interns and a bad atmosphere," wrote the company's co-founder Aurelien Regard.

"As in any human matter, it is important to know when to stop, to get a clean situation. It is precisely because we did this at this time that everyone from Arkedo is still having a good time together, even after it's officially over."

Regardless of the studio's shutdown, they still have two games in the pipeline that have yet to be released, which will be released soon. Unfortunately, the studio's disbandment means that it's doubtful that either title will see any updates or patches, should they need it.

It's a real pity to see them go, because Hell Yeah! Wrath of The Dead Rabbit is an incredibly fun game.
