Media Molecule Demonstrates PlayStation 4 Capabilities with Move Demo

February 20, 2013 by Carli Velocci

New software brings your dreams to life.

Playstation Move Media Molecule

Media Molecule, the studio behind Little Big Planet, showed up at the PlayStation press event in New York City to discuss new software developed with the PlayStation Move and the controller, demonstrating amazing sculpture and creative capabilities.

Alex Evans came on stage and discussed how the controller's potential has finally been unlocked in the next generation of consoles, allowing players to "record your dreams."

Not literally of course. That would be strange. Media Molecule has built a sculpting tool that they put "at the heart of their creative process," but eventually developed into the main demonstration at the event.

They promise that they will allow sculptors, both beginner and advanced, to have fun with the software. For beginners, it's just a matter of clicking "to assemble your dream." For more experienced creative types, the possibilities are endless.

The presentation concluded with a mini rock concert with sculptures, and needless to say, we were impressed.

While this is not Media Molecule's new game exactly, we hope that they will utilize this software to create something great in the future.

Be sure to read this post for our full coverage of the PlayStation 4.
