Call of Duty: WWII Headquarters Finally Supports 48 Players

November 21, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

Check out headquarters before hopping into your next match.

Call of Duty: WWII’s launch was a massive success, constituting a ridiculous $500 million in sales within the first three days of launch. While financially the game performed extraordinarily, the multiplayer wasn’t working as well as intended.

Bugs and errors meant that Sledgehammer games had to temporarily remove dedicated servers in favor of peer-to-peer connections, unfortunately, this meant that Headquarters, the social space whereby players could interact with each other, open loot boxes or smash a quick 1v1 became pretty lonely – there would only be one single player per area.

It seems now though, that the area is fully operational, you should be able to pop past all 48 other players and interact with them, or watch lootbox openings.

Return to the 20th century’s most iconic armed conflict and the dramatic backdrop which first inspired the  hugely-popular Call of Duty series – now redefined for a new gaming generation.

Embark on an intense journey across Europe’s vast theatre of war as part of a brotherhood of ordinary fighting men, struggling to preserve freedom as the world teeters on the brink of tyranny. Also team-up with friends online and experience a separate, story-driven cooperative campaign.

Call of Duty: WWII is out now for PS4, PC and Xbox One. How have you found the title so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
