PUBG Will Continue To Build On Anti-Cheat Measures

November 6, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

PUBG has a zero tolerance on cheaters.

2017’s biggest game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has had a fairly solid launch for a title still in early access – but it hasn’t been without fault. Since launch, there have been quite a few instances of cheating ruining the experience for other games. Luckily Bluehole Studios is on the case. A couple weeks back the team announced that new anti-cheat measures were being put into place, now the team has reiterated it’s initial statement, saying that they have a zero tolerance for cheaters and are continuing to build upon the existing system.

‘As we announced before, we are in the process of adopting new tools to detect and verify users with unusual gameplay patterns and today, we will be rolling out additional measures. We will continue to permanently ban those who are using cheats. When unusual gameplay patterns are detected from an account, that account will be temporarily suspended and investigated,’

The post continues, saying that bringing an end to cheaters is an ongoing process and won’t be completed overnight and that the system exists to protect innocent players and ban cheaters from the community.

“Although we hope to bring about a safe and fair environment in PUBG as soon as possible, our battle against cheaters will not end overnight. We will continue our research and development to establish a better system for combatting cheaters. We will take stronger actions to find and ban cheaters, while at the same time taking good care to not harm innocent players. Next week, we will be deploying yet another patch related to cheat detection.”

So there you have it, players can expect a patch next week to optimize the anti-cheat system by an increment.
