Fox International Prodctuions is rebooting Square Enix's Hitman franchise on the silver screen.
Deadline has reported that The Fast and The Furious star Paul Walker has been tapped to play the iconic Agent 47, with a script being written by A Good Day to Die Hard scribes Skip Woods and Michael Finch. Commercial director Aleksander Bach has been appointed to direct the flick, which will mark his feature debut.
Walker, who's now on a global press tour for Fast and Furious 6, will shave his head and tackle this project next. While no plot sypnosis has been revealed yet, the film will shoot in Berlin and in Singapore this summer.
The first Hitman film was released back in 2007; and starred Timothy Olyphant as the bald-headed assassin. While it did manage to rake in $100 million worldwide, it did not go over well with fans and critics.
No release window has been given for the Hitman movie reboot but we will, of course, update the situation once we know more.
So, anyone excited to see Paul Walker shave his head and be Agent 47 or should Square Enix stop this travesty before it goes on any further?
