Are you any good at Call of Duty: Black Ops 2? If so, you might want to sit up and take notice as Activision has announced a $1 million tournament for Treyarch's latest shooter.
The tournament, which is set to take place this coming April 5-7 in Hollywood is sponsored in part by Microsoft, Major League Gaming (MLG) and the Electronic Sports League (ESL). It will bring in 32 of the "world's most skilled multiplayer teams" in order to duke it out in Black Ops 2, with the event live-streamed for Call of Duty fans.
Watch the trailer for more details on the event.
For those interested in joining, you can register here, and once you're team's chosen, teams of four will try out for the championship by competing in the February season of League Play in Black Ops 2 on Xbox LIVE. After that, and following the close of the February season, the top eight eligible teams will earn spots, as well as a trip to Hollywood this April to compete for the $1 million tournament prize.
If you have what it takes — or at least you think you and your mates do — register now and who knows? Maybe all that Call of Duty gameplay marathons will earn you money in the process.
