God of War: Ascension Owners Will Get The Last of Us Demo First

The survival horror action-adventure game aptly titled The Last of Us will be released on May 7, 2013. But first, a demo will be released, and God of War: Ascension players will be the first to get it.

While God of War: Ascension will be released this coming March, The Last of Us demo won't come with the game. Instead, owners will be able to download it as soon as it becomes available. According to the US PlayStation Blog, all players will have to do is run the game and click on The Last of Us listing in the main menu. Instructions on how to obtain the demo will be there within the game, and when the demo releases, these players will have access to a chapter of The Last of Us.

Sony did not comment on how long it would take for other players without God of War: Ascension to obtain the demo, but since they said it would come to players with the game "first", we can assume that everyone will eventually be able to download the demo.

The Last of Us is a hotly anticipated new IP by Naughty Dog studios that is said to focus on the highly emotional experience of a survival horror story, akin to the original Dead Island's famous trailer, rather than the traditional gory zombie game gameplay.
