XSEED Might Be Publishing Killer Is Dead In The US

January 23, 2013 by Matt Hawkins

If three just registered website is any indiction.

In Superannuation's latest round up of video game rumors for Kotaku, it was speculated that XSEED might be the publisher that ultimately handles domestic distribution of Suda 51's latest, Killer Is Dead.

And where's the proof? In the form of a trio of recently registered domains under their name: killerisdead-game.com, killandlove.com, and loveandkill.com. In the case of the latter two, anyone who has seen the trailer knows already that the words "Love" and "Kill" are featured prominently.

The title is due in Japan later this summer, and as of yet, no word has been given about a release in outside territories. If one had to guess, one would have expected Ubisoft to handle such duties, since they were the ones who published Killer Is Dead's immediate successors, No More Heroes 1 & 2.

Then again, they did a fairly poor job marketing both games, and given how XSEED knows their audience well, and sell esoteric games from Japan in general, them taking up Killer Is Dead would be very much appreciated. If that it turns out to be the case in the end.
