For those who can't wait to have Batman unleash dark justice on Solomon Grundy, or Superman to smash Lex Luthor's face in a car, Warner Bros. Interactive has finally revealed the release date of NetherRealm's Injustice: Gods Among Us.
Slated to hit retail on April 19 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii U, Injustice will ship in two versions alongside the standard $60 vanilla-packaged game. Unfortunately, the Collector's and Battle editions listed below are only for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. So if you want to play the game on the Wii U, you'll have to be content with the "normal" edition.
Collector’s Edition ($99.99)
-
A copy of the game.
-
Exclusive DC Collectibles statue featuring iconic characters Batman and Wonder Woman, the Fortress of Solitude, and the Last Son of Krypton’s escape ship.
-
Special Collector’s Edition of the Injustice: Gods Among Us comic book.
-
Digital download of DC Universe animated film Justice League: Doom.
-
Three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC Comics – The New 52.
Battle Edition ($149.99)
- A copy of the game.
- Exclusive Injustice: Gods Among Us Fight Stick featuring official artwork from the game. It is a lightweight controller that boasts a non-skid foam underside, a lockout feature for the Start, Select and Guide buttons, as well as adjustable illumination for the buttons and joystick.
- Three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC Comics – The New 52.
To be honest, both editions aren't that shabby by any means. Of course, it would have been better if Warner Bros. had a Battle Collector's edition that included the fight stick, statue, comic book and game all in one. But you can't win them all I guess.
Anyone thinking of getting these instead of the vanilla version? I wouldn't mind having a statut of Batman attacking Wonder Woman on my desk while playing this.
