It's that exciting time of year when all the big game publishers announce their yearly iterations of games that explore the world of professional sports—and I don't mean that in any sarcastic sense. Each time word of these games comes out, it gives fans of sports titles a reason to reflect upon previous games and look forward to seeing all the improvements that the new iterations are set to deliver.
As Sony launches its cover vote for the sports star set to appear on the upcoming MLB 13 The Show, we received word that Matt Kemp, who plays baseball for the Los Angeles Dodgers is in the running to grace its cover art.
The vote is set to take place in three days, and Kemp and his crew are rallying the votes to secure him the win. Voters can win prizes and a bunch of other things.
Matt Kemp won me over with his bedroom eyes, so that's whom I'm voting for. If he agrees to give the same pose and expression for the game's cover, I'll be sold—and I don't even play sports games all that much. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a little turned on by this.
In case you weren't already won over, here's what the man himself has to say:
The other candidates are CC Sabathia, Andrew McCutchen, Bryce Harper, Buster Posey, Ryan Braun, and Miguel Cabrera.
The game is destined for release on the PlayStation 3.
