Nintendo’s Switch will be getting a full version of FIFA 18 and it seems that there will be no compromise on the game’s performance whatsoever. A few months ago we noted that the Switch will be running FIFA 18 at 1080p docked and 720p undocked. Now we’ve been told that not only will it be running with clear quality it will also be performing at a brilliant 60FPS.
“We spent a lot of time actually understanding what the console is”, the game’s producer said. “In docked [mode], which we’re seeing right now, for example, it is 1080p and running at 60 frames per second. When you plug it out and play it in handheld it’s 720p.”
This is awesome news given that the Switch version includes everything the PC/ Xbox One/ PS4 version of FIFA 18 is including, along with Switch exclusive modes like instant local co-op multiplayer. Let’s hope that the Switch does actually perform as well as the developers are selling it.
FIFA 18 is launching on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
