Rockstar Games has released a new batch of Grand Theft Auto 5 screenshots to celebrate the holidays.
The images come as a huge surprise, and they're the first new screens we've seen since their last big release a couple months back, and in exclusive previews for gaming magazines. Needless to say, they're the best damn Christmas gift GTA fans could've hoped for.
One of the screenshots depicts scuba diving with a shark. Others showcase a submersible not unlike James Cameron's exploration sub, and jet fighter escorting a passenger airplane with a blimp in the background.
In one shot, Franklin can be seen riding through a neighborhood in convertible with a Rottweiler seated in the passenger side. Now we know who that big Rotty belongs to. It'll prove interesting if the dog gets to help Franklin out during his missions while the player takes control of him.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is set for release early next year for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Rockstar has not announced any plans to release the game on the Windows PC or the Wii U.
Fans of the series have since launched a petition on Change.org to get the game out for the Windows PC. The petition has garnered over 133,500 signatures since it went live. It only needs 16.5k more supporters for the petition to go through. If you'd like to see the game on the PC, be sure to sign it here.
