Namco Bandai's Dark Souls 2 was one of the big reveals at this year's VGAs and while there wasn't an ounce of gameplay shown, it was enough to drive fans into a frenzy.
Sadly, we still don't have any gameplay footage to share, but we do have a set of concept art for the game you can pore over and they showcase some of the baddies we can expect tormenting us until we smash the controller in frustration.

While details for Dark Souls 2 are scarce, we do know that it will feature a new story, new hero and a new world but will still somehow tie in to Dark Souls' universe. Additionally, in an EDGE interview, Hitadeki Miyazaki has confirmed that the game's multiplayer will have dedicated servers. Speaking of Miyazaki, he also revealed that he won't be directing the sequel but will in a more supervisory role this time around.
As long as the game's "fun" hair-pulling challenge is still there, I take it people won't complain much.
Dark Souls 2 is scheduled to hit the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, but since it's only about 25% complete as of this month, don't expect it out in 2013.
