XCOM 2: War of The Chosen PS4/Xbox One Delayed Until September

August 17, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

What’re a couple more days?

2K has announced that the highly anticipated add-on to XCOM 2, War of The Chosen will be facing delays. The game will now launch September 12th, reasoning for this was that the studio wants to deliver the best game possible and avoid the same as XCOM 2 when it launched early last year.

To ensure the best experience for console players, XCOM 2: War of the Chosen will now launch 9/12 on PS4 and Xbox One. PC launch still 8/29.

It is currently available to pre-ordering for £34.99/$39.99 on the European and North American Store respectively. It is 30GB in size and requires XCOM 2 patch 1.04 or above to play.

“XCOM 2: War of the Chosen adds extensive new content in the fight against ADVENT when additional resistance factions form in order to eliminate the alien threat on Earth. In response, a new enemy, known as the ‘Chosen’, emerges with one goal: recapture the Commander. This expansion includes new Hero classes to counter the ‘Chosen’, new enemies, missions, environments and increased depth in strategic gameplay.”

Annoyed to see another game delayed? Recently we announced that Crackdown 3 would also be facing a delay, this time from an end of year release to early 2018.
