If there's one game PS3 fans are looking forward to the most in 2013, it's hard to argue that most of 'em will point to The Last of Us by Naughty Dog. And given how good the Uncharted franchise has been, the anticipation is quite understandable.
So, when should PS3 players expect Naughty Dog's latest game? If Wal-Mart is to be believed, The Last of Us is scheduled for a "spring" release.
This was revealed by IGN reader George Hernandez who got a "Reservation Card" from Wal-Mart which indicates the game's release date as "spring 2013." Although, there is an asterisk next to the date noting that the the date "is subject to change."
So is this The Last of Us' release date? While Sony has not flat-out denied it, they did release an official statement saying, "We haven't announced any release date," and adds, "Walmart is speculating."
Seeing as The Last of Us will be one of the big games shown off at this Friday's Video Game Awards show, I'm hoping that aside from the trailer, they'll also have a firm release date for us, too.
If Sony does release The Last of Us in "spring," do you think it might have problems seeing as Grand Theft Auto 5 has been confirmed to be coming out in that same timeframe? If you could only buy one, which game would you choose?
