Rumor Suggests Halo Developer is Looking for Someone With MMO Experience

November 20, 2012 by Jeanine Celestin-Greer

It’s time for musing

Back in 2007 it was discovered when Ensemble Studios was closed—that the team had been working on a Halo MMO, codenamed Titan and Orion. The game allegedly had been in developer since 1998.

Since then, there’s been no official information regarding any kind of Halo MMO, but there is a job listing on new Halo developer 343 Industries’ website that at least states they are looking for someone with experience in the world of MMOs.

The listing is for a software development engineer that requires a plethora of other skills, but listed under what the “ideal” candidate will have is “experience in MMO development”.

At this point all one can do is muse. Could they be looking to reboot the Halo MMO game? Maybe. Could they simply need someone with the hardcore technical experience that comes from supporting MMOs? Probably. But it’s fun to think about the possibilities right?
