GTA 5: New Screens Released, Will Have Multiple Endings and More Details

November 18, 2012 by Alex Co

Rockstar has released new screens for Grand Theft Auto 5. There’s new details, too!

Rockstar, in conjunction with Microsoft, has just released a set of brand-new Grand Theft Auto 5 screenshots over on the official Xbox Facebook page.

While two of them are normal enough, the other three are definitely noteworthy. But first, let's see the mundane ones intially, no?

Here's one of what seems like Grand Theft Auto 5's Porsche:

The next one shows what looks to be Michael riding a dirtbike and chasing over a plane that's on fire. Now, wait a minute, that is a bit noteworthy as well, no?

The last three screens looks to be the most interesing…at least to me, anyway. The first one shows either Michael or Trevor climbing a ladder of what seems to be a part of an outdoor sign. My guess is it's part of the "Vinewood" structure. Why is he climbing though? And what's the chopper's significance? Is it after him or just flying along at the right time? Give it a look and you be the judge.

The next image shows a chopper flying to the "FIB" building. For those who doesn't know, the "FIB" is Grand Theft Auto's equivalent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation or otherwise known as the FBI.

In the last screen offically released, we get to see an in-game character break a car's window using their elbow. Not sure if this is Franklin, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was him. Does this mean we can do this in-game? We can't really say until Rockstar confirms it, but look at the screenshot and image it already.

If the screens weren't enough to quench your Grand Theft Auto 5 thirst, maybe the gameplay details outed by Multiplay.it will solve that predicament (via GTAforums). Now keep in mind that not all of these are facts and seeing as the text is a translation, some of the things might be interpreted differently or in some cases, wrongly.

  • There is no lead platform, they are developing the game at the same time for both PS3 and XBOX360

  • Those who saw the demo thinks that there won't be a Wii U version because Rockstar is not experienced with this new console, but he is also confident that there will be a PC version after a few months.

  • Those who saw the demo said the graphics is amazing, and you can see the maniacal attention to all the details. Amazing graphics and attention to details combine together and give credibility to the game world.

  • Speaking of graphics, the demo had a lot of alias (Which is going to be fixed before release, of course) but the frame rate wasn't bad (but not perfect). Curiosity: They did the same presentation for GTA IV 5 years ago, and in this case the graphics was great but the frame rate was really bad.

  • At the moment you can't switch between characters if you are in free roam and you are wanted, but they are still working on that so it may change

  • There will be multiple endings

  • As for the length of the game, Rockstar said that the main story alone lasts about the same as Red Dead Redemption. So about 25-30 hours. But there will be a HUGE amount of secondary things to do.

  • Btw, it will last less than the one in GTA IV with Nico because they know that a lot of people didn't finish the story because it was too long.

So, a chances of a Wii U GTA 5 is quite slime at this point — though that's to be expected somewhat, no? Important facts gleamed here are that it will take about 20+ hours to complete, and that there's going to be multiple endings. Perhaps there are different endings depending on which character you prefer?

So, are you liking what you've seen/read today? What are the chances that there's going to be a Wii U version of GTA 5? Yeah, I'd say  it's not looking so well, no? At least there is good news, there's no lead platform so at least everyone can expect parity among versions, right?

GTA 5 is set for a Spring 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Thanks, Examiner
