A few years ago, about four to be exact, the sequel to cult classic Beyond Good and Evil was announced, answering the prayers of many a fan. But aside from that announcement, there hasn’t been a whole lot of information on the game, besides some potentially leaked alpha footage that was leaked earlier this year. Some fans have undoubtedly been wondering whether the game has entered development hell or not after four years, but Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed otherwise.
"What's very important is that Michel Ancel is kind of doing too many things at the same time," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told Polygon in an interview. "He was working on Rayman Origins last year, and he's working a lot on Rayman Legends this year. So, you know, when he does that, he kind of puts too much of his time on the other projects that he has.
"So the fact is, that working on Legends is slowing the process on Beyond Good and Evil 2."
Rayman Legends will release on the Wii U next year, having been recently delayed. So hopefully he’ll get some much-needed time with Beyond Good and Evil 2 soon.
