Shadow Warrior 2 Gets a Release Date for PS4 and Xbox One

May 12, 2017 by Nick Biazzo

Lands on PS4 and Xbox One next week!

Shadow Warrior 2 will be launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next Friday, May 19 developer Flying Wild Hog announced on the PlayStation Blog earlier today.

It has been also revealed that players who digitally purchase Shadow Warrior 2 on PlayStation 4, will receive a copy of the original Shadow Warrior as a bonus.

Here’s what the developers said about their upcoming game:

“Our team has built upon this legacy of classic first-person shooter gameplay in Shadow Warrior 2 by blending fast-paced gunplay with the series’ trademark melee combat. Players will have access to dozens of weapons, from handguns and assault rifles to katanas and chainsaws, allowing them to thin the enemy horde from a distance before jumping into the fray and cutting down what remains. This interplay between ranged firing and melee combat drives Shadow Warrior 2 and forces an interesting risk-versus-reward decision for players when deciding on how to handle each combat situation.”

As of right now, no firm price tag has been revealed for this upcoming title. Shadow Warrior 2 will be available to purchase next Friday, May 19 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
