Call of Duty: Black Ops II Lets You Live Stream Multiplayer On YouTube

November 8, 2012 by Julie Horup

Requires Elite to watch, though.

Activision has announced that players will be able to live stream Call of Duty: Black Ops II League Play games on YouTube directly from their PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. Hurrah!

The new feature also lets players stream from their webcam and include audio commentary while they're playing, so watch your tongue.

There's a but, though, since live streaming requires Call of Duty Elite. Elite will also let you watch player cards from the players participating in the live stream with information about class loadouts, match data and career stats from every game Elite supports.

"From the beginning of development with Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the team has been pushing boundaries on every front to offer Call of Duty fans things that they haven't been able to do before, said Mark Lamia, Treayarch's studio head. "With our competitive play and eSports initiatives, we wanted to deliver live streaming capabilities built right into Call of Duty: Black Ops II."

The live streams can be watched via YouTube on PC, mobile or tablets via Call of Duty Elite. It's even possible to use a YouTube user channel for it. Expect people to get on that ASAP.

If you fancy live streaming, you'll need a verified YouTube account.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II launches on November 13.
