NetherRealm Studios has been releasing a steady amount of news about their upcoming fighting game, Injustice 2 to keep fans hype levels and expectations high.
Today, the studio has announced a Championship Series for Injustice 2 with the winner to receive a whopping $600,000. Check out the announcement video the company has tweeted out earlier today.

“The Injustice 2 Championship Series Presented by PlayStation 4, is a global esports program for the upcoming Injustice 2 video game from NetherRealm Studios. The 2017 series has Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment teaming up with ESL, Gamelta, GameStop, Playstation®4 and Twitch to further build the fighting game community around the world. The program offers amateur and pro players throughout North America, Europe and Latin America a chance to compete in different programs for a portion of a $600,000 USD prize pool. The best players from these different programs will qualify for the Injustice 2 Championship Series grand finals that will take place this Fall.”
The Championship Series will make up of several different tournament series for all players and skill levels. It will break up into four different segments that will lead into the Championship Series later this fall, where the finalists will compete for the prize pool of $600,000.
Injustice 2 is releasing on PS4 and Xbox One on May 16.
