In a recent announcement, Ubisoft has revealed that its newest title for mobile, Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos will be launching exclusively for Chinese audiences in just a couple of months. The game, which will be developed by Playcrab and published by gaming giant Tencent, marks the very first mobile entry for the series since its birth in 1995.
Ubisoft Mobile China’s head of licensing and publishing Aurélien Palasse said that Playcrab’s history of making award-winning mobile games definitely factored into the decision to partner with the company:
“Playcrab was among the first studios we selected based on this strategy…First, they had an impressive track record of high quality and commercially successful mobile games. Then they really convinced us all by showing a genuine passion and enticing vision for the Might & Magic franchise.”
Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos is expected to release this June for Android and iOS devices. Much like the previous titles, it will remain faithful to the strategic PvP gameplay, complete with fantasy creatures and magic skills. Beyond the mobile department, Tencent is keeping itself busy with its partnership with Psyonix, developer of massively popular vehicular soccer game Rocket League.
