SteelSeries Collabs With Evil Geniuses, Unleashes Special Editions of Gaming Peripherals

April 18, 2017 by Katrina Filippidis

Available now.

SteelSeries has just announced a new, limited edition line of Arctis gaming peripherals, including a custom-designed Arctis headband. Together with elite eSports partner Evil Geniuses, SteelSeries is bringing out tournament ready, special editions of the Apex M500 Keyboard with Cherry MX Red keys, a custom-tuned Rival 300 gaming mouse and a QcK+ gaming mousepad. Read Gameranx’s review of the Rival 700 gaming mouse for a look at how SteelSeries’ is innovating with design.

The Apex M500 Evil Geniuses Keyboard comes with tournament-grade backlighting, Cherry MX Red switches for super fast clicks, and full anti-ghosting. Based on SteelSeries’ most iconic eSports mouse, the Rival 300 Evil Geniuses edition uses a Pixart PMW3310 optical sensor, features six programmable buttons and prism RGB illumination, and is ergonomically designed for long-lasting performance. Designed and tested by professional gamers, the QcK+ Evil Geniuses gaming mousepad boasts an almost frictional surface and unmatched tracking accuracy, as well as an extra layer of padding for guaranteed sturdiness.

SteelSeries CEO Ehtisham Rabbani spoke highly of the fruitful union with Evil Geniuses:

“For years, SteelSeries has collaborated with Evil Geniuses to test and improve our products to ensure they are tournament ready…Their winning culture and pursuit of excellence in esports aligns with SteelSeries’ commitment to supporting esport professionals with products that help them rise to the challenge.”

Those interested can check out and/or purchase the Evil Geniuses line over at SteelSeries today. Prices range from $99.99 for the Apex M500 keyboard, $59.99 for the Rival 300 mouse, and $19.99 for the QcK+ mousepad. There will also be a special edition of the Arctis headband that’s home to the highly popular Arctis gaming headset. We reviewed the SteelSeries Arctis 7 and thought it was great.
