This year's big games are almost upon us and none might be as gargantuan as Microsoft's premier franchise, Halo 4. Speaking of which, Microsoft has just released the game's official launch trailer, and as expected, it looks fantastic.
The fourth main entry in the franchise once again starts Master Chief as he battles an ancient evil bent on vengeance and annihilation. Master Chief will have his work cut out for him as he's facing new enemies and even a new powerful Foreunner "menace."
Even if the game doesn't really need it, watch the launch trailer below as it looks fantastic.
While most first-person shooters rely on its multiplayer to sell boatloads of units, Halo might be one of the few shooters that can have each entity stand on its own. Based on what we've seen, Halo 4's multiplayer will still offer the same experience fans know and love, but the single-player is no slouch, either.
I admit. the fact that Halo 4 is most likely the last main Halo game for the current Xbox before it moves on to next-gen gives it an added dose of mojo. This is just conjecture on my part, mind you, but would you really be surprised if Halo 5 was released for the Xbox 720?
For those who didn't find the launch trailer particularly exciting, maybe this live-action short from David Fincher (Fight Club) and Tim Miller (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) might be more your thing.
Are you ready to continue the fight? The wait won't be long now as Halo 4 is scheduled for release on November 6 for the Xbox 360.
