Sony has announced that joining NFL Blitz as this month's free PS+ game is Overkill's PAYDAY: The Heist. It will be up later today during this week's PSN Store update.
For those unfamiliar with the game, it might look like another FPS, but it emphasizes on "heists" more than your standard drip-feed of unlocks and progression.
Here's the official product description from Sony:
Dive full force into six heists of co-op madness, fighting off cops, stealing large sums of money and embarking on the ultimate high-intensity, first-person shooter adventure. You can play all the ‘heists’ solo if you like, or team up with friends on your friends list, or get your matchmaking on and work together as a group to pull off the crime.
PAYDAY: The Heist will be joining King of Fighters XIII and NFL Blitz as this month's free games for PlayStation Plus members. In addition to that, Giant Sparrow's The Unfinished Swan will also be available a week early for members of the premium service, and there's the early access to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta, too.
Are these enough to match EU PlayStation Plus' offerings? Probably not, but it's a start.
Anyone excited to play this or should Sony skip the PSN games and concentrate more on PS3 titles instead?
