This Is What’s New In the PS4 4.50 Update

Custom Wallpapers, External HDD use and more!

The PS4 4.50 update has just been rolled out across regions and is set to include some nifty new additions for the PlayStation fans.

Some of the more interesting features include: Quick reply options for chat (eg. “Can’t talk now” or “I’ll join later”), a boost mode for PS4 Pro players, custome wallpapers, remote play voice chat and of course the allowance of players to use external HDD.

Along with that, there is also some good news for PSVR players:

“If you’re playing a game in PS VR and you return to the PS4 home screen, you may notice that the resolution looks lower than normal on the TV Social Screen. Following this update, you’ll find that the resolution of the system screen displayed on your TV is significantly better when you’re out of VR mode.” Says John Koller, Vice President of PlayStation brand marketing.

“Also, the resolution of Cinematic Mode on PS VR will improve — if your PS VR screen size is set to Small or Medium, the frame rate of content viewed in Cinematic Mode goes up from 90Hz to 120Hz with this update.”

The Download size is just above 300mb. So you should be able to hop on and test out the features in no time.
