5 Important Points About This Week’s Battlefield 1 “Battlefest”
Five things you need to know about the Battlefest event, which runs until November 27th.
Battlefest 2016 is on… right now. DICE kicked off this event during a livestream last night and revealed bonuses that everyone who logs in and plays will receive as a reward. The event takes place from now until Sunday, November 27th, so if you want to take part, here is what you can expect, and the cool rewards that you get for playing during the next 10 days.
Unique Dog Tags
You get a pretty neat bonus for logging in between now and the end of Battlefest, and that’s a unique dog tag, called the Veteran Dog Tag, which is rewarded to all players who played Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, or Battlefield Hardline. In addition, if you also signed up to be a Battlefield Insider (via the newsletter), you will also get another unique dog tag. There is a third dog tag called “Best Community in the World” that you can only get from Battlefield Game Changers (influencers).
PTFO Weapon Skin
If you play Battlefield 1 on three different days and win one match in Operations during the event, you will get the PTFO weapon skin. In addition, the M1911 Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline mission (Road to Battlefield 1) is still active as well. This means that you will also get the Incarcerator skin and another dog tag when you reach 25 kills in either of these games. So, more cool, limited-time-only stuff for you to collect. I like how on the skin the PTFO (Play the F***ing Objective, for those who didn’t know) seems scratched in to the wood handle, giving the weapon a rough, historic look (a la WWI).
This new backpack is a Battlefest-branded limited-time revision of Battlepacks will be available throughout the event, starting from today, November 17th onward. Battlepacks in this game are heavily focused on customization. You get these by winning Multiplayer matches, and usually weapon skins are inside, however sometimes you can even get a piece of a craftable melee weapon. Content of Battlepacks shifts regularly, so this particular Battlepack will naturally be themed around Battlefest.
Check Out Exclusive Events
This Friday, November 18th, EA will be hosting an early Black Friday of its own, giving discounts on Battlefield 1 across a number of retailers. Also taking place that day is the #FridayNightBattlefield event, lets the community play with the game developers via special servers. You will receive an exclusive Friday Night Dog Tag when you participate. And finally, you will earn 2x the normal amount of XP in Battlefield Hardline and Battlefield 4.
Get Involved in the Community
With Battlefest Community Videos, you too can learn to PTFO with some of the best players in the community on Sunday, November 20th. On November 23rd, the CTE Veteran Dog Tag will be awarded to players who have been part of the Community Test Environment on Battlefield 4 or Battlefield Hardline. In addition, Hardcore and Fog of War have been added to the Custom Games menu. One final #FridayNightBattlefield event will be hosted on November 25th, in case you missed out on the previous chance to play with the DICE devs.
