Grand Theft Auto V Manages to Snatch Number 1 in UK Sales Chart a Year After Release

A year after release and GTA V still manages to get to the number one spot.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens enjoyed its time in the spotlight, as it reigned the number one best selling video game in the UK charts for five weeks straight. However, it was finally time for it to step down.

A year ago, Rockstar released the fifth instalment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, GTA V, and it managed to break records during its first weeks or even months. The chaotic-but-beautiful open world of Los Santos was able to jump again to the top of the UK charts.

According to the GfK Chart-TrackGrand Theft Auto V’s sales jumped up by 31%, making it snatch the number one spot a year after release, and the ninth time in total.
