Vehicular-football battle game Rocket League is finally available to play on Xbox One and while players on Microsoft’s console have had to wait a good deal longer than their PC or PlayStation counterparts, developer Psyonix has included some pretty cool as a way of making up for the delay.
There DLC packs have all been packaged into the game for free and they are Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, and Chaos Run. In addition, vehicles based the Armadillo from Gears of War and the Warthog from Halo are available as well.
In order to unlock the Warthog, you need to win one round with every car in the game. Reddit has helpfully put together a guide what will help you do so quickly.
Rocket League’s version of the iconic Warthog has been named the Hogsticker, for reasons unknown, and hopefully performs better than the vehicle it’s based on. Driving in Halo was never particularly smooth or user-friendly, particularly when you’re operating under a time limit or the world is disintegrating around you as was the case in the final missions of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 3.
Sunset Overdrive‘s Fizzie and Overcharge Rocket Trail are available as Garage exclusive items as well.
Season Two of Rocket League begins this month and is heavily inspired by player feedback from Season One. Rather than being punished for individual losses, players will be rewarded for consistency in winning and there are no Rank Points. Skill Points alone will determine your division.
Rocket League is now available for purchase on Xbox One for $20/£15.
