Ubisoft has revealed early details on the post-launch plans for Tom Clancy’s The Division, including what players can expect in the season pass. The plans include several free updates, new features and functionality, and three major expansions.
The free updates will be released for anyone who has the base game, and will add new game modes, which Ubisoft describes as “challenging group-oriented operations” in co-op mode, which will also provide “unique rewards.”
The Season Pass includes three expansions. They are scheduled to release over the course of the year, and each will build on the base game with new content, gear, and gameplay. Ubisoft has provided basic details for each of the expansions:
-
Expansion I: Underground — This first major expansion opens up a new area to players as they explore the uncharted underworld of New York City with up to 4 friends for intense co-op action
-
Expansion II: Survival — In this expansion, players will have to survive as long as possible in a very hostile environment that will challenge even the most talented agents.
-
Expansion III: Last Stand — Stay tuned for more information
Season pass owners will also have exclusive access to the Sawed-off shotgun sidearm weapon, along with a set of outfits and weapon skins. Both of these items will be available at launch. There will also be “special monthly benefits including exclusive content drops and special events.”
We got a look at the game’s PC HQ gameplay in a recent leak, along with the news that the main game will be set in the Manhattan borough of New York, with other parts of the city to possibly be added later.
