BioWare has announced that all future DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition will be exclusive to PC and current-gen platforms. The content will not be released on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
Those who upgrade from last-gen to a PS4 or Xbox One will be able to use a new save importer feature. A reason for the decision to abandon previous consoles was not provided.
In an update on the Dragon Age website, the studio wrote "All future Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One only, so we designed our Save Importer feature to help make the transition to a new console as easy as possible."
Save games can only be imported within a console family – that means saves from PS3 can only transfer to PS4 and saves from Xbox 360 can only transfer to Xbox One. PC save imports/exports are currently not supported.
If you purchased DLC on a previous-gen console, you will be able to unlock it on your new system at no extra charge.
Details on how to transfer your saves are listed on the Dragon Age site. More story based content for the game is coming but BioWare has yet to officially announce what it will be.
