Assassin’s Creed: Origins Will Offer Each Player “Their Own Personal Experience”

Ubisoft promises “no two people will have the same experience.”

Assassin’s Creed Origins is set to provide every player with a unique experience, to the extent that “no two people will have the same experience.”

I am a long and avid fan of everything related to Assassin’s Creed, and even if sometimes I have a few complaints about the latest iteration, I always go back to replay them all. So to me, this is really refreshing to hear. Director Jean Guesdon was featured in an interview in PC Gamer‘s latest issue, via WCCFTech, where he discussed Ubisoft’s effort to make every player’s experience unique and different than other players.

We want players to have their own personal experience, which means less scripting and less handholding. We create a world, we place some content in it – we have dozens of quests, and people that you will meet who will tell you stories. But in between, when you’re in the world, a lot of things can happen. And no two people will have the same experience – it’s just not possible.

We’ve reworked the AI so that all living beings in the world are real AI. The lions are hunting antelopes, the crocodiles are attacking hippos if there are any around, and the world is much more living than before.

Assassin’s Creed Origins releases October 27 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
